Workshop and Outdoor Mini-Swap Meet

Sunday, February 12, 2023, at 12 Noon
Comfort Inn Plymouth
3000 Harbor Lane, in Plymouth, Minnesota

Please mark your calendar for the 2023 Northland Antique Radio Club annual radio workshop and outdoor swap meet on Sunday February 12th and be sure to note the new location for this event! The workshop will be held in the Comfort Inn Plymouth's main ballroom at 3000 Harbor Lane, in Plymouth, Minnesota, the same place where Radio Daze and the 2022 Annual Meeting were held.

The event will begin with a small swap meet in the hotel parking lot, weather permitting. There are no fees to sell at this swap meet and admission is free, so there usually is a good turn-out unless it is extremely cold or snowing outside. Just bring whatever radio items you want to sell and be sure to bring some cash in case you find something you want to buy! There is no official start time, but the parking lot is usually busy by 10 a.m.

The hotel ballroom will become available at 11 a.m. and the workshop will start at 12 noon.

Those of you who have attended our workshop in the past probably remember Gary Ball's outstanding presentations covering Zenith and other transistor radios. This year, Gary is organizing the workshop and has an interesting variety of presentations lined up for us.

Gary Ball - Unique early transistor radios
Larry Tell - Update on the 01A
Phillip Drexler - Cartridge alignment in a turntable tonearm
Matt Hyman - Removing tape residue from paper and cardboard
Bill Fanum - Carbon Spring Microphones and demonstration

As usual, there will be a Show & Tell following the workshop. Please bring a carbon microphone if possible, or a favorite radio and tell us about it.

See you there!
