2002 Fall Swap Meet Report
By Irene Jacob

What more could we have asked for...sun and no snow, and that's just what we got for our annual indoor Fall Swap Meet at St. Croix Lutheran High School on Saturday, November 2nd, 2002. We did have to layer up for the low temps, but we weren't competing with the hunting opener, so turnout was good.

Between 75-100 people attended, and business was buzzing pretty good until late morning. Thirty-seven tables held all sorts of equipment, radios and TVs. There was the usual literature and parts available for purchase, also. We added five new members, and many chose to renew their memberships at this time. Attendees hailed from Pennsylvania, Florida, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Australia and Minnesota. Two travelers were able to incorporate our meet into their business trips, and we are always glad to see new faces. Please keep this in mind if you may be traveling our direction, or if you have guests visiting during local events.

Club president, Ed Ripley, announced our 50/50 winner, Tom Sargent. Aimee Sahlsteen provided morning refreshments and rolls. Once Again, Mary Farmer ran an organized registration table and was in charge of the noon hot dogs, chips, cookies, etc. We would like to thank all who attended, and we welcome any suggestions for improvement.
