Those who have attended Radio Daze for the past several years can attest to how well this facility has worked out. Room rates are $71.00 plus tax per night for either a single or a double room. The Comfort Inn's reservation phone number is (763)559-1222.

Friday's activities start at dawn with the parking lot swap meet which will be open all day. (Please note that the permit from the City of Plymouth does not allow any selling prior to Friday morning.) The hospitality room will be open at 8:00 am with fresh coffee and rolls. Hot dogs with cookies and snacks will be available starting at 11:30am. The registration room, coordinated by Mary Farmer, opens at 10:00 am.

Radio Daze is co-sponsored by both the Antique Wireless Association (AWA) and the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting. The Pavek museum is located at 3515 Raleigh Avenue in St. Louis Park and will be open at 10:00 am sharp on Friday and again on Saturday for their annual garage sale. Make sure you are displaying your Radio Daze name tag for free admission.

This year's radio drawing features a Tivoli Model Two radio! This is a high-end stereo AM/FM radio with fantastic sound, designed by Henry Kloss. Drawing tickets for the radio will be available in the registration room for $2.00 each, or you can get 3 for $5. The drawing for the radio will be held at the beginning of Saturday afternoon's program. You do not need to be present to win.

The auction, which is always a highlight of Radio Daze, will be held 7:30 Friday evening with merchandise check in beginning at 5:30 pm and viewing at 6:30 pm. As in past years, Ed Ripley be our auctioneer, with auction coordinator Don Hauff handling registration and check in.

Saturday begins with the parking lot swap meet, including a Silent Auction in the parking lot. There is no minimum value or fees associated with the silent auction, so you may want to consider this as another means to sell your radio equipment. Item check in for the old radio contest will run from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, with viewing from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. A couple new contest categories this year are: NBC ITEMS, and HI-FI RECEIVERS AND TUNERS. There will also be a new award given to the contest entry having the best presentation, which will hopefully make the contest even more enjoyable to viewers. A trip to the contest room always yields a surprise or two.

The Saturday luncheon runs from noon to 12:45 pm, the cost is $9.00 per person. The Saturday program begins at 1:00 pm and features NBC Cameraman and radio collector Jim Bragg. This promises to be a very interesting program, so be sure to plan for it.
